Ingredients/Components
- round steak - 1 1
- flour - 1/4 c
- onion, chopped - 1/4 c
- clove garlic, minced - 1 item
- shortening - 3 Tbsp
- water
- tomato sauce - 1/2 c
- vinegar - 1 Tbsp
- horseradish - 1 tsp
- prepared mustard - 1 tsp
- salt - 3/4 tsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
How to make deviled steak strips:
Cut meat into 2 inch thin strips. Coat with flour. Brown meat, onion and garlic in shortening. Stir in 1 cup water, tomato sauce, vinegar, horseradish, mustard, salt and pepper. Simmer 1 hour. Stir in 1/2 cup water; heat through. Serve with rice or noodles.Recipe categories: Main dish, Meat, Beef.
