- shortening - 4 Tbsp
- pepper - 1 item
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 Tbsp
- ketchup - 2 Tbsp

How to make baked round steak:
Saute finely diced onion in shortening until lightly browned. Remove from skillet. Cut meat in serving size pieces; roll in flour and brown in fat. Salt and pepper to taste. Remove meat from skillet and add enough water to make at least 2 cups thin gravy. This will thicken during baking. Add ketchup, Worcestershire sauce and A.1. sauce and season with salt and pepper. Place meat in small roaster or casserole dish; spread onion over meat and add gravy. Bake at 350° for 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until tender.Recipe categories: Main dish, Casseroles, Beef.
