Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • butter - 1 Tbsp
  • cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
  • can cream of mushroom soup - 1 item
  • envelope dry onion soup mix - 1 item
  • A - 1 Tbsp
  • can tomatoes, drained - 1 lb
  • round steak - 2 lb
  • juice from tomatoes - 1/2 c

How to make swiss steak:

Line a 9 x 13-inch pan with foil. Place steak in pan. Add butter, onion soup and drained tomatoes on top of steak. Shake together in a jar the soup, salt, tomato juice, A.1. sauce and cornstarch. Pour over steak. Cover with foil and bake 2 hours at 250°.
