Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
- water - 1/4 c
- vinegar - 1/2 c
- margarine - 1 Tbsp
- cooked, sliced beets - 3 c
How to make harvard beets:
Mix sugar and cornstarch. Gradually add water and vinegar. Cook gently until thick and clear (10 to 15 minutes). Stir in margarine and salt. Add beets; reheat and serve.Recipe categories: American, Side dish, Vegetables.
