Sweet potato pie
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- vanilla extract - 1/2 tsp
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- eggs, lightly beaten - 2 item
- can evaporated milk - 1 item
- sweet potatoes - 1 lb
- drops lemon flavoring - 2 item
- pie crust - 1 item
- whipped cream optional - 1 item
How to make sweet potato pie:
Boil sweet potatoes until soft. In a large mixing bowl, combine sweet potatoes, sugar cinnamon, nutmeg, a pinch of salt, one-half teaspoons vanilla extract, lemon flavoring, and eggs. Slowly add can of evaporated milk and regular milk and mix well. Pour into pastry-lined pie pan. Cover edge of pie crust with foil. Bake at 375° for 25 minutes.
