Sweet potato pie
Ingredients/Components
- brown sugar, packed
- white sugar - 3/4 c
- cooked boiled with skins on sweet potatoes, peeled and mashed - 6 c
- butter
- Pet milk
- eggs - 5 item
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- nutmeg - 3/4 Tbsp
- vanilla extract - 2 Tbsp
How to make sweet potato pie:
Mix cooked, mashed sweet potatoes with mixer. Add sugars, butter, milk and eggs. Add vanilla and spices. Mix well and spoon into 3 (9-inch) pie shells. Bake at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes. Serve with whipped cream. Makes 3 pies.This mixture can be frozen in tightly sealed bowl and used later if one pie is all you want to bake. Also freezes well in pie shell to cook later. Pies that are cooked can be frozen and used later.
