Ingredients/Components
- 9-inch unbaked pie crust deep dish - 1 item
- sugar - 1/2 c
- ground cinnamon - 3/4 tsp
- nutmeg optional - 1/4 tsp
- plain flour - 3/4 c
- butter - 6 Tbsp
How to make apple crumb pie:
Pare, core and cut up apples. Arrange in pie crust. Combine 1/2 cup sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Sprinkle over apples. Mix 1/3 cup sugar with the flour; cut in butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over apples. Bake at 400° for 35 to 40 minutes or until done. Cool. Serve with ice cream, whipped cream or sharp Cheddar cheese.Recipe categories: Desserts, Pie, Pies and tarts.
