Sweet and sour spareribs
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- brown sugar - 1 Tbsp
- cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
- water - 1/2 c
- vinegar - 3 Tbsp
- soy sauce - 2 Tbsp
- small piece ginger, crushed - 1 item
- spareribs, cut in serving size pieces
How to make sweet and sour spareribs:
Marinate ribs in 2 tablespoons soy sauce, 1 tablespoon brown sugar, salt, cornstarch, ginger and 1 tablespoon soy sauce. Let stand 10 to 15 minutes. Brown ribs. Remove excess fat. Add vinegar, water and 3 tablespoons brown sugar. Cover pan. Bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer slowly until tender, about 25 to 30 minutes.Recipe categories: Sweet sauces, Sauces, Savory sauces.
