Ingredients/Components
- dry bread crumbs - 3 c
- light cream
- ground beef
- ground pork - 3/4 lb
- ground veal - 3/4 lb
- milk
- egg yolks or 3 whole eggs - 6 item
- plus 2 Tbsp - 1/4 c
- salt - 3 Tbsp
- pepper - 1 tsp
- allspice - 1/2 tsp
- shortening - 1 item
How to make swedish meatballs:
In large bowl, soak bread crumbs in cream. Mix in meat thoroughly. Stir in remaining ingredients, except shortening. Shape mixture into 1-inch balls. Melt shortening in large skillet. Brown and cook meatballs. Serve meatballs from chafing dish. Keep "seconds" warm in the oven. Makes 25 servings.Recipe categories: Appetizers, Ground beef, Beef.
