Ingredients/Components

  • milk - 1/2 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 1/4 c
  • boiling water - 2 c
  • egg - 1 item
  • cream - 3/4 c
  • paprika - 1 tsp
  • pepper - 1/8 tsp
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1 tsp
  • fine bread crumbs - 3/4 c
  • ground beef - 1 lb
  • minced onion - 1/2 c
  • minced parsley - 1 Tbsp
  • ground pork - 1/2 lb
  • hot fat or salad oil - 1/4 c

How to make swedish meatballs:

Mix meat, onion, bread crumbs, parsley, seasonings, egg and milk together, then shape into walnut size balls. Brown in hot skillet; remove from pan. Stir flour, paprika, salt, and pepper into hot pan. Add water and cream. Return meatballs to gravy. Cook for 15 to 20 minutes.
