Sugar cookies and icing
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1 Tbsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour
- butter
- confectioners sugar - 2 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- egg yolk - 1 item
- butter half shortening - 3/4 c
How to make sugar cookies and icing:
Icing:1/3 c. butter2 c. confectioners sugar1 egg yolk1 tsp. vanilla1 Tbsp. milk Mix thoroughly shortening, sugar, eggs and flavoring. Blend in flour, baking powder and salt. Cover. Chill at least one hour. Heat oven to 400°. Roll dough 1/8-inch thick on lightly floured cloth covered board. Cut into desired shapes. Place on ungreased baking sheet.
