Ingredients/Components
- milk - 2 beaten
- egg - 1 item
- clove garlic, minced - 1 item
- grated Romano cheese - 1/2 c
- seasoned bread crumbs
- salt, pepper and oregano to taste - 1 item
- oil to fry - 1 item
- extra large mushrooms - 1 lb
How to make stuffed mushrooms:
Remove stems from mushrooms. Save caps. Chop stem and parboil. Drain.Mix stems with egg, 1 1/2 cups bread crumbs, spices, garlic and cheese. Stuff caps with mixture. Dip into beaten egg and milk. Roll in bread crumbs. Carefully fry in hot oil on both sides until golden brown. Serve hot.
