Ingredients/Components

  • sugar
  • vanilla - 1/2 tsp
  • salt - 1/8 tsp
  • flour - 1/3 c
  • butter - 2 Tbsp
  • diced rhubarb - 3 c
  • 9-inch unbaked pie crusts - 2 item
  • sliced fresh strawberries - 2 c

How to make strawberry-rhubarb pie:

Combine and mix well the sugar, flour, salt and vanilla. Add rhubarb and strawberries; mix well and put into pie shell. Dot with butter. Add top crust and cut slits in crust. Bake at 450° for 15 minutes, then reduce oven to 350° and bake for 30 to 40 minutes. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
