- sugar - 1 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- brown sugar - 1 c
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- baking powder
- egg - 1 item
- Crisco - 1/4 c
- diced rhubarb
How to make rhubarb upside-down cake:
In bottom of 9 x 13-inch pan, melt butter, brown sugar and rhubarb. In bowl, cream Crisco, 1 cup sugar and egg. Sift in flour, baking powder and salt. Add milk and vanilla. Mix well together and pour over rhubarb mixture in pan. Bake in 350° oven for 40 to 45 minutes. Cool thoroughly, then invert on serving dish.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Fruit.
