  • sugar - 2 c
  • cinnamon - 2 tsp
  • chopped pecans - 1 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • eggs, lightly beaten - 4 item
  • flour, sifted - 3 c
  • Crisco oil
  • strawberries, washed, stemmed and sliced - 2 pt

How to make strawberry cake:

In a large bowl, combine flour, soda, salt, cinnamon and sugar. Mix well. In a separate bowl, combine eggs and oil. Fold into dry ingredients. Stir in pecans. Fold in strawberries until moistened. Pour in a greased and floured Bundt pan or two 9 x 5-inch loaf pans. Bake at 350° or until lightly browned, approximately 50 to 60 minutes. Cool completely before slicing. (Frozen strawberries may be substituted if fresh not available.)
