Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- water - 1 Tbsp
- cooking oil - 3 Tbsp
- cloves garlic, minced - 2 item
- fresh ground pepper - 1/4 tsp
- fresh orange juice - 1/4 c
- corn starch
- celery seeds - 1/2 tsp
- pork loin, cut into 1 inch cubes
- onion cut into thin slices - 1 item
- carrots, cut into 2 inch long slices, about 1/2 inch wide - 3 item
- bok choy, cut into 1 inch pieces about 3 cups - 1/2 lb
- canned low sodium chicken broth - 1/2 c
How to make stir fried pork:
In medium bowl, toss pork loin with 1/4 tsp. salt and pepper. In a large fry pan or wok, heat 1 Tbsp. oil. Add half the pork and cook, stirring until browned, 2-3 minutes. Remove, Repeat with another Tbsp. oil and remaining pork. Remove.In a small bowl, combine cornstarch and water. Heat remaining 1 Tbsp. oil in pan. Add onions, carrots, bok choy, garlic and celery seeds. Cook, stirring for 3 minutes. Stir in broth and orange juice and bring to a simmer. Add pork and accumulated juices and remaining 3/4 tsp. salt. Simmer until meat is done 1-2 minutes. Add cornstarch mixture and cook, stirring until sauce thickens.
