Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- cornstarch - 1 tsp
- cold water - 2 Tbsp
- corn oil - 2 Tbsp
- chicken stock - 3/4 c
- fresh whole green beans - 1 lb
How to make stir fried green beans:
In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add beans. Stir-fry about 3 minutes or until barely tender. Add sugar, salt and chicken stock. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 10 minutes. Mix cornstarch and water until smooth. Add to skillet. Stir until beans are glazed. Makes about 4 servings.Recipe categories: Side dish, Vegetables, Diabetic.
