Squash relish
Ingredients/Components
- granulated sugar
- vinegar - 2 c
- celery seed - 1 tsp
- mustard seed - 1 tsp
- turmeric - 1/4 tsp
- mace - 1/4 tsp
- chopped yellow squash - 8 c
- chopped sweet peppers - 1 c
- uniodized salt - 1 Tbsp
- chopped sweet onions - 2 c
How to make squash relish:
Combine chopped vegetables with salt. Let stand for 2 hours. Drain well. Combine sugar and remaining ingredients. Heat to boiling. Add drained vegetables and bring back to boiling point. Pack in hot, sterilized jars and seal.Recipe categories: Squash, Appetizers, Spreads.
