  • sugar - 1/3 c
  • self-rising flour - 4 c
  • warm water - 2 c
  • egg, well beaten - 1 item
  • dry yeast - 1 pkg
  • shortening, melted - 3/4 c

How to make spoon rolls:

Dissolve yeast in warm water; add eggs, sugar, shortening and flour. Mix well and refrigerate for 2 to 4 hours. Drop by spoonfuls into greased muffin tins. Bake at 425° for 15 to 20 minutes.
