Spinach pie
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- salt - 2 tsp
- pepper - 1/3 tsp
- basil - 1/4 tsp
- cloves garlic - 3 item
- fresh parsley - 1/3 c
- cooked rice - 1/3 c
- thyme - 1/4 tsp
- oil or butter - 1/3 c
- sharp Cheddar cheese, grated - 1/3 lb
- rosemary - 1/4 tsp
- large chopped onion - 1 item
- tarragon vinegar - 1/4 tsp
- frozen chopped spinach - 1 lb
- pie crusts - 2 item
How to make spinach pie:
Saute in oil onion, garlic, herbs and rice, cook 3 minutes. Add spinach, cook additional five minutes. Let cool slightly. Beat eggs. Add to spinach mixture along with cheese. Brown pie crust in oven at 425° for 15 minutes, then fill with spinach mix. Place back in oven at 350° for 45 minutes.Recipe categories: Vegetables, Main dish, Casseroles.
