Spicy meatballs
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- water - 1 Tbsp
- egg - 1 item
- shortening - 1 item
- applesauce - 1/2 c
- Worcestershire sauce - 1/4 c
- catsup
- fine dry bread crumbs - 1/2 c
- pepper to taste - 1 item
- white vinegar - 2 Tbsp
- ground chuck - 1 lb
- fine chopped onion - 2 Tbsp
How to make spicy meatballs:
Sauce:1 c. catsup1/4 c. Worcestershire sauce2 Tbsp. white vinegar2 Tbsp. fine chopped onion1 Tbsp. sugar1 Tbsp. water Meatballs: Mix ground chuck, applesauce, bread crumbs, egg, salt and pepper. Form balls (not big). Brown in shortening, turning until browned on all sides. Place in casserole dish.Sauce: Mix ingredients and pour over browned meatballs. Cover and cook at 350° for 1 hour. Makes about 50. Great for parties, showers, etc.
