Spaghetti sauce
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 tsp
- salt
- water - 1 c
- bay leaf - 1 item
- can tomato sauce - 1 oz
- oregano - 2 Tbsp
- basil - 2 Tbsp
- mushrooms, sliced - 1/2 lb
- cans tomato paste - 2 oz
- large onion, chopped - 1 item
- can whole tomatoes - 1 oz
- thyme - 2 Tbsp
- parsley, minced - 1 Tbsp
- clove garlic, pressed - 1 item
- oil vegetable - 1 Tbsp
- very lean ground beef - 2 lb
How to make spaghetti sauce:
Heat oil in a skillet and add meat, garlic and onion and brown. Add remaining ingredients. Cover and simmer about 2 1/2 hours. Remove bay leaf before serving. Makes 8 cups.Recipe categories: Sauces, Condiments, etc., Italian.
