Spaghetti sauce
Ingredients/Components
- salt
- paprika - 1/4 tsp
- can tomato sauce - 8 oz
- oregano
- can tomato paste - 6 oz
- cloves garlic - 2 item
- olive oil - 3 Tbsp
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- green pepper, chopped - 1 item
- can sliced mushrooms - 3 oz
- stalks celery, chopped - 4 item
- ground chuck
- dash of red pepper - 1 item
- box spaghetti - 1 lb
- can Italian tomatoes - 1 lb
- small can water tomato paste - 1 item
How to make spaghetti sauce:
Over medium heat in large frying pan, saute garlic in olive oil until golden; remove. Add chopped onion, green pepper and celery until golden. Add ground chuck and saute until brown (10 minutes), stirring constantly. Add seasonings, stirring with beef mixture for about 5 minutes. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, 1 can of water and mushrooms. Put garlic back into mixture. Reduce heat to simmer, cover and cook for 1 hour. Serve over spaghetti noodles and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.Recipe categories: Sauces, Condiments, etc., Italian.
