Spaghetti sauce
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 tsp
- salt - 1/2 1
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- bay leaf - 1 item
- ground beef - 1 lb
- cans tomato sauce - 2 oz
- garlic clove, minced - 1 item
- dried oregano - 3/4 tsp
- dried basil - 1 tsp
- large chopped onion - 1 item
How to make spaghetti sauce:
In a Dutch oven, cook ground beef and onion until meat is browned and onion is tender. Drain. Add next eight ingredients; bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Remove bay leaf. Ready to serve. Makes 1 quart.Recipe categories: Sauces, Condiments, etc., Italian.
