Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • cooking oil - 2 Tbsp
  • pepper - 1 tsp
  • oregano to taste - 1 item
  • onion powder - 1 tsp
  • small can tomato paste - 1 item
  • basil to taste - 1 item
  • tomato paste can filled with water - 1 item
  • regular-size tomato sauce - 1 item
  • garlic cloves, finely diced - 3 item

How to make spaghetti sauce:

Saute garlic in oil in large skillet, or small Dutch oven pan. Add paste, water, sauce and seasonings and mix well. Simmer 4 hours for best taste, adding water if sauce gets too thick. Or can be used after simmering for minimum of 1/2 hour. Use more of seasonings for personal taste.

If making meatballs, saute garlic in drippings from meatballs and omit oil. Add meatballs to sauce and simmer. Serve over spaghetti.
