Ingredients/Components
- starter - 1 c
- milk - 1/2 c
- shortening, melted - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 2 tsp
- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- flour
How to make sourdough french bread:
Mix ingredients in order, working in the flour last. Place in a greased bowl and let rise until double in size.Knead and form into a French loaf and place in loaf pan. Slit top of loaf and bake for 35 minutes at 350°.
