Ingredients/Components
- butter, softened - 1 c
- sugar - 3 c
- vanilla extract - 1 tsp
- sour cream - 1 c
- all-purpose flour, sifted - 3 c
- large eggs - 6 item
- taking soda - 1/2 tsp
- almond extract or lemon flavoring - 1/2 tsp
How to make sour cream pound cake:
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, beating well after each. Add sour cream. Combine flour and baking soda. Fold into batter. Add flavorings.Bake in tube pan or two loaf pans at 300° for 1 1/2 hours for tube or about 1 hour for loaves or until tester inserted in center comes out clean. Makes 1 tube cake or 1 loaves.
