Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- soda - 1 tsp
- cream of tartar - 2 tsp
- soft shortening - 1 c
How to make snickerdoodles:
Blend together shortening, eggs and 1 1/2 cups sugar. Sift and add flour, soda, cream of tartar and salt. Mix well to form dough. Roll dough into balls the size of a large marble. Roll balls into the combined cinnamon and 2 tablespoons sugar. Bake at 400° on a ungreased cookie sheet, for 5 to 7 minutes.
