salt - 1/2 tsp
flour
soda - 1 tsp
cream of tartar - 2 tsp
soft shortening - 1 c

How to make snickerdoodle cookies:

Dipping Mixture:2 tsp. cinnamon2 Tbsp. sugar Chill dough; roll into balls the size of a small walnut. Roll in mixture of sugar and cinnamon. Place about 2-inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. These cookies pull up at first, then flatten out with crinkled tops. Bake at 400° for 8 to 10 minutes.
