Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 Tbsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- finely chopped onion - 1 Tbsp
- black pepper - 1/4 tsp
- finely chopped celery - 1/2 c
- canned tomatoes
- slices bread, broken into pieces - 2 item
How to make scalloped tomatoes:
Mix all ingredients together and pour into deep, buttered baking dish. Cover well with small pieces of butter. Bake in slow oven at 300° for at least 1 hour, stirring occasionally.Recipe categories: Side dish, Vegetables, Kosher.
