- milk - 1/2 c
- flour - 1 Tbsp
- brown sugar - 1 Tbsp
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- dairy sour cream - 1 c
- dry mustard - 1/2 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- Brussels sprouts - 2 pt
How to make saucy brussels sprouts:
Cook fresh Brussels sprouts as directed; drain well. Meanwhile, in an 8-inch skillet or medium saucepan, cook chopped onion in butter until tender, but not brown. Blend in flour, brown sugar, dry mustard and 1 teaspoon salt. Stir in milk. Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened and bubbly. Blend in sour cream.
