Salsa roja



Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- chopped onion - 1 c
- ground cumin - 1/2 1
- cayenne - 1/4 1/2
- large ripe tomatoes, diced - 5 item
- large garlic cloves, crushed - 3 item
- dry sherry optional - 2 4
- chopped green chilies, canned - 1/2 c
- minced parsley, basil and chives to taste - 1 item
How to make salsa roja:
Combine all ingredients except parsley, basil and chives in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, lower the heat and cover. Simmer for 40 to 50 minutes. Add minced herbs to taste.Recipe categories: Sauces, Condiments, etc., Salsas.
