Custard sauce
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- dash of salt - 1 item
- beaten egg yolks - 3 item
- milk, scalded - 2 c
How to make custard sauce:
Combine beaten egg yolks, salt and sugar. Gradually stir in scalded milk. Cook in double boiler over hot water until mixture coats spoon, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; add vanilla. Chill 2 1/2 hours.Recipe categories: Desserts, Sweet sauces, Sauces.
