Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • water - 1 c
  • egg - 1 item
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1 Tbsp
  • chopped onion - 1 Tbsp
  • ketchup - 1 Tbsp
  • hamburger - 1 lb
  • can mushrooms - 1 item
  • can golden mushroom soup - 1 item

How to make salisbury steak:

Mix together all ingredients except mushrooms, soup and water. Make thick hamburger patties, about 5 to a pound. Roll patties in flour; lightly sear in small amount of shortening. Place in a greased baking dish and pour over with mushrooms, soup and water. Bake 45 minutes at 300°.
