Salisbury steak



  • sugar - 1 Tbsp
  • salt
  • water - 1/2 c
  • beaten egg - 1 item
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1 Tbsp
  • dash of black pepper - 1 item
  • can celery soup - 1/2 item
  • tomato juice or milk - 1/4 c
  • Topping:1 can golden mushroom soup
  • ground chuck or lean hamburger
  • cooked quick oatmeal - 1/4 c

How to make salisbury steak:

Topping:1 can golden mushroom soup1/2 can celery soup1/2 c. water Mix ingredients and make thin oblong patties; dip patties in flour, 1/2 cup milk and 1 more egg. Roll in fine cracker crumbs. Brown on grill or skillet with very little oil at 375°. Layer in casserole and pour the topping over the patties. Bake approximately 1 hour at 325°.
