Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- water - 1/2 c
- light corn syrup - 2/3 c
- food coloring - 1 item
- vanilla, 1 1/2 tsp - 1 tsp
How to make rock candy:
Stir sugar, corn syrup and water over low heat until dissolved. Cook without stirring over high heat to the hard crack stage, 310°. Remove mixture from heat; add coloring and flavor. Pour mixture onto greased cookie sheet. When cold, break into pieces.Recipe categories: Desserts, Candy, American.
