Strawberry shortcake

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 2/3 c
• milk - 1/2 c
• Bisquick
• margarine, melted - 3 Tbsp
• heavy whipping cream - 3/4 c
• strawberries, sliced - 2 pt

How to make strawberry shortcake:

Sprinkle strawberries with 2/3 cup sugar and let stand 1 hour. Heat oven to 425°. Mix Bisquick, 3 tablespoons sugar, margarine and milk until soft dough forms. Drop dough into 6 mounds onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 11 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Beat whipping cream in chilled bowl until stiff. Split shortcakes; fill and top with strawberries. Top with whipping cream.
