Ingredients/Components

  • butter - 1 Tbsp
  • long grain rice
  • bay leaf - 1 item
  • pinch of ground white pepper - 1 item
  • boiling chicken stock - 3 c

How to make rice pilaf:

Melt butter in heavy saucepan. Add rice. Add hot broth and boil, covered, 25 minutes on low heat. Remove bay leaf and press into 1 1/2-quart ring mold. Keep warm and unmold to serve.
