Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 2 tsp
  • water
  • margarine - 1/3 c
  • pepper - 1/8 tsp
  • cans chicken broth - 2 item
  • chopped onions - 1/2 c
  • parsley - 1 Tbsp
  • thyme - 1/4 tsp
  • rice, uncooked - 2 c
  • clove minced garlic - 1 item

How to make rice pilaf:

Cook onion and garlic in butter until tender. Stir in rice until thoroughly coated. Add parsley, salt, thyme and pepper; stir well. Combine broth and water in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and pour over rice mixture. Pour entire mixture then into a large rectangular baking dish. Cover with foil and bake at 350° for 25 minutes or until liquid is absorbed. Serves 8 to 10.
