Rice pilaf
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 2 tsp
- water
- margarine - 1/3 c
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- cans chicken broth - 2 item
- chopped onions - 1/2 c
- parsley - 1 Tbsp
- thyme - 1/4 tsp
- rice, uncooked - 2 c
- clove minced garlic - 1 item
How to make rice pilaf:
Cook onion and garlic in butter until tender. Stir in rice until thoroughly coated. Add parsley, salt, thyme and pepper; stir well. Combine broth and water in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and pour over rice mixture. Pour entire mixture then into a large rectangular baking dish. Cover with foil and bake at 350° for 25 minutes or until liquid is absorbed.
