  • milk - 1/4 c
  • egg - 1 item
  • garlic salt - 1/2 tsp
  • mayonnaise - 1 tsp
  • small onion - 1 item
  • self-rising corn meal - 2 c

How to make hush puppies:

Mix well all ingredients. Add enough water to mixture to moisten it, but not too watery. Must hold together enough to drop into hot grease. Brown on one side and turn to brown on the other. Makes 15 to 20 hush puppies.
