Rice pilaf
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- margarine - 1/3 c
- cans chicken broth - 3 oz
- finely chopped onion - 1/3 c
- uncooked long grain rice
- golden raisins - 1/3 c
- coarsely chopped pecans - 3/4 c
- Cover and bring to boil
How to make rice pilaf:
Add to mixture in skillet. Cover and bring to boil. Simmer on low heat for 25 minutes. Remove cover and cook 5 minutes longer or until liquid is absorbed.Topping:3 Tbsp. margarine1/2 tsp. salt3/4 c. coarsely chopped pecans Melt margarine in small pan. Add nuts and salt. Heat 2 to 3 minutes. Put rice in serving bowl. Top with topping and serve.Recipe categories: Side dish, Rice, Long Grain rice.
