Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour
- brown sugar
- soda - 1 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- nutmeats - 1/2 c
- diced rhubarb
- sour milk - 1 c
- liquid shortening - 2/3 c
How to make rhubarb bread:
Mix all ingredients. Put into 2 greased bread pans and top with mixture of 1 tablespoon soft oleo and 1/2 cup white sugar. Bake at 325° for 1 hour.Recipe categories: < 4 hours, Breads, Weeknight.
