Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1 Tbsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- flour
- brown sugar
- nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- melted butter - 1 Tbsp
- egg - 1 item
- diced rhubarb
- sour milk - 1 c
- Sprinkle with topping
- liquid shortening - 2/3 c
How to make rhubarb bread:
Combine sugar, shortening and egg, then dry ingredients, milk, vanilla, rhubarb and nuts. Sprinkle with topping.Topping:1/2 c. sugar1/4 tsp. nutmeg1 Tbsp. cinnamon1 Tbsp. melted butter Combine and sprinkle on top of batter.
