- chopped nuts - 1 c
- stick margarine - 1 item
- vanilla flavoring - 1 tsp
- oil - 2 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- cocoa - 2 Tbsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- vinegar - 1 tsp
- plain flour
- box confectioners sugar - 1 item
- small bottles red food coloring - 2 item
How to make red velvet cake:
Frosting:1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese1 box confectioners sugar1 c. chopped nuts1 stick margarine1 tsp. vanilla flavoring Mix cake ingredients in order; beat well. Generously grease and flour three 8-inch cake pans. (Use wax paper in the bottoms of the pans.) Bake for 30 minutes in a 350° oven.Frosting: Mix ingredients together well. Spread between layers and on sides and top.
