Ranch biscuits
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 3 c
- water - 2/3 c
- oil - 2 Tbsp
- soda - 1/4 tsp
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- yeast - 1 pkg
- buttermilk I use 1 Tbsp - 3/4 c
How to make ranch biscuits:
Add yeast to 2/3 cup warm water. Prepare milk. Let both set. Sift dry ingredients. Add yeast, milk and oil. Stir together. On floured surface knead until dough is smooth (add flour if needed). Drop by large spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 450° for 8 to 10 minutes. Extra dough keeps two weeks in refrigerator.
