Ingredients/Components
- dash of salt - 1 item
- cup sugar - 1 item
- cup vinegar - 1 item
- bay leaves optional - 2 item
- cup beet juice - 1 item
- cans of beets - 2 item
- cinnamon stick optional - 1 item
How to make quick pickled beets:
Drain beets and save 1 cup of juice. Bring sugar, vinegar and spices if used, to a boil. Cut up beets and add to liquid, bring to a boil again. Remove from heat. Store in refrigertor. Can be eaten after one day.Recipe categories: Side dish, Vegetables, Canadian.
