Quesadillas
Ingredients/Components
- butter - 1 Tbsp
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- grated Cheddar cheese - 1/3 c
- picante sauce - 1 2
- green onions, diced - 2 item
- flour tortillas - 4 item
- fresh cilantro leaves optional - 1 item
How to make quesadillas:
Heat butter in a skillet. Place 1 tortilla in the skillet. Sprinkle with half the cheese, half the diced onion, picante sauce and seasonings to taste. When the cheese has melted and the tortilla is lightly browned, cover with another tortilla. Flip to brown the second side. Remove from heat; cut the sandwich into quarters. Keep warm in a low oven. Arrange on a plate with refried beans on the side, shredded lettuce and diced tomatoes. Serve with guacamole and/or sour cream for dipping.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Grains, Appetizers.
