Ingredients/Components
- salt
- water - 8 c
- garlic salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- oregano
- can tomato paste - 1 oz
- carrots, sliced - 1/2 c
- can tomatoes - 12 oz
- celery, sliced - 1/2 c
- lentils - 1 lb
- smoked sausage, sliced large links - 1 lb
How to make lentil soup:
In a large stock pot, combine all the ingredients, except tomatoes. Cook for 1 1/2 hours. Add the tomatoes and simmer for 30 minutes more. Serves 12.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Soups & stews, Pork.
