  • shortening - 2 c
  • sugar - 2 c
  • eggs - 2 item
  • can pumpkin - 1 oz
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • all-purpose flour - 4 c
  • baking powder - 2 tsp
  • cinnamon - 2 tsp
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • nutmeg - 1 tsp
  • allspice - 1/2 tsp
  • raisins - 2 c
  • chopped nuts - 1 c

How to make pumpkin cookies:

Cream shortening and sugar. Add pumpkin, eggs and vanilla; beat well. Stir together flour, next 5 ingredients and 1 teaspoon salt. Mix well. Stir in raisins and nuts. Drop rounded teaspoonfuls 2-inches apart on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350°
