sugar - 1 c
cinnamon - 1 tsp
chopped pecans - 3/4 c
salt - 1/4 tsp
soda - 1 tsp
pumpkin - 1 c
egg - 1 item
shortening - 1 c
plain flour - 2 c

How to make pumpkin cookies:

Cream shortening and sugar. Add pumpkin and eggs. Mix well. Mix dry ingredients: flour, cinnamon, soda and salt. Add to first mixture. Mix. Add nuts. Drop from spoon onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375° for 10 to 12 minutes. Makes from 4 to 5 dozen.
